2008 was my second year as the house photographer at the Mt. Baker Blues Festival held in Deming, Washington the first weekend in August. For further information, please see their website: http://boomkak.com/bakerblues/

As the exclusive festival photographer, I was granted an all access pass to stage and grounds, a concert photographer's dream come true. My assignment was not only to shoot the performers but also the audience having a wonderful time. This was easy as the weather was mostly sunny, the music was incredible, people of all ages were dancing and laughing and the venue at the Deming Log Show grounds was very typical Pacific Northwest: shading evergreens in a rural setting.

I have included some images here but many more will appear in the gallery on the Festival's website. You can see them on my My Space pics soon: http://www.myspace.com/rokrclikr

To get quality images, a photographer uses quality equipment. A Nikon D300 is my body of choice as I have been shooting with Nikon since 1973 (F2). An arsenal of professional lenses (24-70mm f2.8, 85mm f1.4, 135mm f2 and 180mm f2.8), several backup batteries, lots of memory (Sandisk CF cards), Digital Foci portable storage unit and a Lowepro bag to put it in completes my kit. I am lusting for the 70-200mm f2.8 VR and the 14-24mm f2.8.

If you are impressed with what I can do, please contact me to shoot your band performing or an event (family reunion, birthday party, etc.) please contact me at clikrf8@hotmail.com (or clikrf8@gmail.com or clikrf8@yahoo.com) for pricing and availabilty.
